House System at Hester's Way
At Hester’s Way we have 4 houses that children belong to. Each child is assigned a house when they enter reception and siblings are put in the same houses.
Our houses are named after Gloucestershire Castles. They are Berkeley, Clearwell, Goodrich and Sudeley.
Each house has 2 house captains from year 6 who help to run the houses and take responsibility for house tasks such as collecting house points and showing visitors around our school.
Children are awarded house points for good work and behaviour and each week the house with the most points is noted. At the end of every term the house which has been the most successful with their points wins the house cup and receives a house treat.
Each house also has a chosen charity which they raise money for throughout the year.
This year’s charities are as follows:
Berkeley: Children In Need
Clearwell: The Wrong Trousers
Goodrich: Comic Relief
Sudeley: Royal British Legion
