At Hester's Way Primary School, we place great emphasis on after school clubs and the importance these have for the children. These clubs may develop an interest in an activity or sport that they may wish to pursue further. The clubs also help to develop the partnership and bond between our school and the children as they are able to stay behind after school to take part in a range of exciting activities.
We try very hard to have a range of clubs on offer, such as:
- Football (x2 clubs)
- Library club
- Forest School
- Phonics club
- Art and craft
- The clubs usually start a few weeks into the new term and finish a few weeks before the end of the term. Letters are sent out to the parents with the lists of clubs and the children can make a choice of 3 clubs. We look through the numbers and clubs and then parents receive a letter to say which club the children have been allocated. We expect excellent behaviour at these clubs.
